Before and Afters

Accent Wall
First House Project – January 2020
When we moved in the wall was this dated teal color. I wanted something that would make a big bold statement. First we painted large swatches in a couple colors of gray and settled on graphic charcoal. The leaves are metallic gold paint. We cut the stencil out of cardstock on our cricut machine 10 or 12 times and then after some trial and error landed on using a $1.99 sponge paint brush. Then placing, taping, sponging, moving…repeat! Surprisingly we didn’t plan out the spacing or the angles of the leaves we just randomly placed them and it turned out amazing!

Dining Area Light
July 2021
We wanted a light that better matched the lights above our island. We found these amazing giant rounded Edison bulbs at The Home Depot as well as this new light fixture. You may think this is much more boring than the old one but it fits the space much better.
